Teaching Goals: The basic Chinese program is mainly designed for students who had never been exposed to Chinese language; the course mainly focuses on the Chinese Pinyin phonetic system and basic communication skills, such as listening comprehension, reading, speaking, writing, as well as simple Chinese characters recognition and grammar knowledge and so on. The teaching which TECs focus differs from the local Chinese language classes, TEC-JGU focus more on students’ listening and speaking abilities and their typing and character recognition skills.
